So you have an idea for a great app or website -- all you need is a developer and you’ll be on your way to claiming your fair share of the this billion dollar economy, right?
Hiring an app developer brings about unique challenges, compared to say, hiring say a bookkeeper or a copy writer. You already have some basic arithmetic skills and can balance a budget. You already know how to write and can ascertain how long a 300 word blog post should take to write. But what about when it comes to code? Is 100 hours the right amount of time for your project? 1000 hours? What is a fair amount to pay?
For many, developers are magicians that can pull apps out of the ether to function just like their imaginations envisioned. Through this workshop, you’ll understand that building great software is not much different than cooking delicious food. There are recipes for success, but the greatest challenges are overcome only with trial and error as well as improvisation that is backed by tons of experience.
This workshop will walk you through the process of a successful idea / inventor relationship and share some war stories of some of the pitfalls that can happen along the way.
